The Seven Year Itch

In this episode, we discuss Round 13 of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season which was also the second First Nations Round of the season. We saw the Melbourne Mavericks make their second win in a row, serving up their specialty of 1-goal wins in a nail-biting final minutes of a game against the GWS Giants, as the Lightning keep their finals contention alive with a win against the Queensland Firebirds. West Coast Fever avenged the last time they played the Melbourne Vixens, winning by one goal that could have been anyone’s game up until the final minute, while the Adelaide Thunderbirds shoot to the top of the ladder after their win against the NSW Swifts. We discuss the latest in Netball News, including that disgraceful letter to Donnell Wallam, Noeline Taurua’s support of NZ players coming to SSN, rumoured movements from the English Super Netball League to SSN and this round’s reserves matches.

Angry Parma and Trivia Night

In this week's episode we discuss Round 12 of the Suncorp Super Netball Season. This round, we saw the Melbourne Vixen’s have their second loss of the year, by the biggest margin in years and three other hotly contested games that went down to the wire. We end our episode with our regular segments of Netball News, Recruit, Bench, Retire and our Round 13 tips.

Netball Chaos was Chaos-ing

On this episode, we discuss Round 11 of the Suncorp Super Netball. In this round we saw the Top 4 teams take on the bottom 4 while we saw two more of our very own Victorian Pathway athletes made their Suncorp Super Netball debut with the NSW Swifts and Melbourne Mavericks. In Queensland Firebirds vs West Coast Fever game, we had a bit of everything; tears, screaming and pure joy with the Firebirds coming through with the win. We followed up with two 20+ goal wins with the Adelaide Thunderbirds beating Melbourne Mavericks and Melbourne Vixens beating NSW Swifts. We then ended the round with the closest game, Sunshine Coast Lightning vs GWS Giants with Lightning getting the win. We then go through some of the headlines of Australian Netball for the week.

Wild Times and Chaotic Vibes

In this episode, we discuss Round 10 of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball. In this round, we saw the Adelaide Thunderbirds shrink the GWS Giants to their lowest score in SSN history, 42 to 57. The Melbourne Vixen’s put a halt to the rumours that Lightning strikes twice by beating them for the first time this season. In this week’s battle of the birds, the Melbourne Mavericks beat the Firebirds and we ended the round with West Coast Fever breaking records and beating the NSW Swifts. We end the episode with a very full Netball News, RBR and unpacking the next round in Round 11.

Unicorns Don't Squawk

In this episode we discuss round 9 of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season. We saw some key players return to the court after several weeks of injury in the NSW Swifts and Sunshine Coast Lightning game, where the Lightning took the win with a narrow 2 goal victory. In Adelaide, we saw West Coast Fever have another big loss and this time to the Adelaide Thunderbirds, while the GWS Giants make it clear they are not going down this season without a fight, winning to the Queensland Firebirds by 4 goals. Finally, the second Melbourne Derby saw the Melbourne Vixens taking top spot on the ladder with an almost 20-goal victory against the Melbourne Mavericks. In news this week, we debrief on the Diamonds Squad announcement, Chelsea Pittman’s retirement and all that drama surrounding Sam Wallace Joseph and the Swifts.

High Performance Hair

In today’s episode. we discuss Round 8 of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Season. We saw the Melbourne Vixen’s win by 14 goals against a depleted GWS Giants lineup. Sunshine Coast Lightning ended their game green with envy over their loss to the West Coast Fever by 3 goals. We talk about the battle of the birds where the Queensland Firebirds beat the Adelaide Thunderbirds by a surprising 10 goals and we saw the Melbourne Mavericks take flight against the NSW Swifts, winning by 6 goals. In netball news, we debrief about Sasha Glasgow’s sit down interview, the Unfinished Business mini-documentary, Lenize Potgieter’s facebook post and Round 1 of the SSN reserves games.

Girls Just Wanna Have Naps

In this episode, we recap Round 7 of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball Season, which is also Week 1 of the First Nations’ Round. We started the round with the Queensland derby, with the fire going out in the Queensland Firebirds camp with Sunshine Coast Lightning taking a 11 goal victory. The Adelaide Thunderbirds swiftly took care of the NSW Swifts in Briony’s 100th game, keeping them to only 33 goals and beating them by 25 points. On Sunday, we saw the GWS Giants clip the Melbourne Mavericks wings by beating them by 7 goals. Lastly, Melbourne Vixens ended the West Coast Fever dream of an undefeated season by beating Fever by 11 goals.

Gimme Gimme Moore

In this episode, we discuss Round 6 of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season. We saw the Melbourne Vixens get struck by Sunshine Coast Lightning as they lost their undefeated status with a surprising loss of 7 goals. We saw sunshine on the West Coast with Fever vs Adelaide Thunderbirds, where Fever was able to hang on for dear life to their winning streak. The Melbourne Mavericks monopolise Queensland after two wins in a row in the sunshine state, beating the Queensland Firebirds by 7 goal. Meanwhile the GWS Giants shrink back to human size after another devastating thrashing in the NSW Derby against the NSW Swifts. 

Desperate But In A Positive Way

On this episode, we discuss Round 5 of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball. West Coast Fever continue their winning streak with a win against the Queensland Firebirds on a Friday night game which tested the resilience of all the sleepy gals out there. Adelaide Thunderbirds took on the Melbourne Mavericks in the second game of the round in Melbourne, and ran away with the win with a convincing 22-goal margin. A controversial match between the GWS Giants and Sunshine Coast Lightning gave us a lot to talk about as the Giants scrape through to the win in extra time. The Melbourne Vixens keep their own winning streak as they win by 2 goals against the NWS Swifts.

In this episode we discuss Round Four, Inclusion Round, of the 2024 Suncorp Super Netball season. We celebrate the history making game that was the Melbourne Mavericks taking their first win against a stacked Sunshine Coast Lightning line up and we unpack the other 3 double-digit margin games in this round. We share our thoughts on the appointment of Liz Ellis to the Netball Australia board.
